Rental Terms

All vehicle rentals through Carhirebracknell are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines the terms, conditions, insurance information, fees, and your obligations related to the rental. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Eligibility Criteria

Rental Vehicle Requirements

• To rent a vehicle from Carhirebracknell, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions may differ based on the vehicle type, with potential extra fees for drivers under 25. You are required to possess a valid full driving licence suitable for the vehicle category, held for the duration stated in the Rental Agreement. Valid identification and proof of your current address must be presented, along with payment details and a security deposit. Any further requirements outlined in the Rental Agreement must also be met.

3. Reservations and Payments

• Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Bracknell office. To confirm your booking, a deposit may be necessary. The total payment and a security deposit are usually required upon vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where relevant. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.

Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

• At Carhirebracknell, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle upon collection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. We will complete and sign a vehicle condition report to document this. Please return the vehicle in the same condition as when you received it, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged to you accordingly. Ensure the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as at pickup; otherwise, a refueling fee will apply. Late returns may result in additional fees, so please inform us as soon as possible if you anticipate a delay. You are also liable for any parking tickets, traffic violations, or charges incurred during your rental, along with a processing fee.

Insurance and Liability Policy

• All rentals from Carhirebracknell include basic third-party insurance. You can find comprehensive coverage details and excess amounts outlined in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to lower your financial liability. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You will be responsible for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess amount, unless additional insurance is purchased. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.

6. Modifications and Cancellations

Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the booking type and the notice provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show up may incur charges.

Prohibited Activities

Prohibited Vehicle Uses

• Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or other risky behaviors. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. The vehicle must not be sub-let or operated by unauthorized drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purposes and within established passenger and weight limits. Driving outside specified geographical boundaries without prior consent is also prohibited.

Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Carhirebracknell will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the rental in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.

Terms Update Policy

Carhirebracknell reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
